Career: Rhode Island University (USA-NCAA, 2004-08)
Parfait (which means “perfect”, in French) Bitee went into this summer looking to impress at the NBA’s pre-draft camp but he had one eye firmly on joining the Cameroon National Team, too. Cameroon boss Lazare Adingono has never had a problem keeping tabs on Bitee since the player is his nephew. In fact, Adingono worked in basketball operations at Rhode Island when Bitee began his college career with the Rams. Bitee started at shooting guard but also played a lot of minutes at the point for Rhode Island. An efficient shooter with the Rams (11.8 points per game at 49.6% from the field), he shot a scintillating 51.2% (65 for 127) from three-point range. He did not get into a shooting rhythm last year in Angola with Cameroon, however. In 18 minutes per game, he averaged 4.2 points and made just two of his 13 (15.3%) attempts from long range.
