Career: Al Fida (Lebanon-Division 1, 2001-02), Sporting Al Riyadi (Lebanon-Division A, 2002-08).

Hussein Tawbe started his career with Al Fida in the second division and quickly proved that he had the potential to play at the higher level. Then he joined Al Riyadi Beirut, one of the most competitive teams in the country, and helped his team to three consecutive Lebanese championships. Hussein Tawbe is an undersized power forward who has limited skills on offence but rebounds well and plays solid defence. He averaged 6.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game this season with Al Riyadi. He has been a member of the Lebanon National Team since 2003 although he did not play at last year’s FIBA Asia Championship.
