Rans Brempong is a long and athletic big man who plays with a great deal of energy but has limitations on offence. The late summer addition of Dalembert made Brempong expendable for the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship in Las Vegas last July. Both are known for their shot-blocking abilities, and both struggles at international level because they do not have much to offer on offence. Brempong has certainly left his mark at Western Carolina University, where he finished as the Southern Conference’s all-time leader in blocked shots with 308. However, getting most of his shots around the basket, Brempong shot just 36% from the floor and 50% from the free throw line in five games at the Pan Am Games in 2007.
