Career: Virginia Commonwealth University (USA-NCAA, 2006-08)
Ndongo is one of the reasons why there is so much optimism around the Cameroon National Team. A back-up forward in Lazare Adingono’s squad, he appeared in his first FIBA Africa Championship last year in Angola at just 18 years of age. At Virginia Commonwealth, Ndongo has yet to earn big minutes but as a sophomore, he did play in 20 of the Rams’ 32 games, starting in two of them. He averaged 1.5 points and 1.6 rebounds. Last year in Angola, Ndongo played an average of 13 minutes for Cameroon, helping them capture a silver medal to book a place at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Athens.
