Career: Hawaii (USA-NCAA, 1999-2003), North Charleston Lowgators (USA-NBDL, 2003-04), Florida (USA-NBDL, 2004-05), Virtus Bologna (Italy, 2005-06), KK Zadar (Croatia, 2006-07), Gran Canaria Grupo Dunas (Spain-ACB, 2007-08)

English had a disappointing 2007 FIBA Americas Championship, shooting just 33% from the floor and 27% from behind the arc. Having to play point guard on occasion seemed to take English out of his offensive flow. He forced shots and never found a comfort zone. He is streaky, but can be effective (30 points against Argentina at the 2007 Tutuo Marchand Cup and 34 against Serbia & Montenegro in 2006). However, Canada seemed to have success with some longer athletic wing players (Famutimi, Denham Brown and David Thomas). English averaged more than 15 points with Gran Canaria in the ACB this year. If he doesn’t find his stroke early, he may find himself as the designated shooter coming off the bench.
