Career: Samil Commercial High-School Seoul (Korea, 2002-03), Yonsei University (Korea, 2003-04), Portland Reign (USA-ABA, 2004-05), Portland Trailblazers (USA-NBA, 2004-06), Milwaukee Bucks (USA-NBA, 2006-07), Anaheim Arsenal (USA-NBDL, 2006-07), DNP (2007-08).
One whom we called “the next Yao Ming” , because of his incredible body, is the first Korean to have played in the NBA. He was drafted by Portland in 2004 at the 46th position. Forty-six is also the number of games in his erratic NBA career. His average statistics between Portand and Milwaukee are 1,5 points and 1,5 rebounds in 7 minutes. Ha was waived by the Bucks in October 2006, and didn’t play the following season. So, he finally gave up his NBA dream and entered the KBL draft in February 2008 (first pick). Ha will debut next season with KCC EGIS. He’s a dominant center in the low-post, who can dunk or hook, but his footwork and mobility is definitely not great, and Ha is not enough strong and resistant to play all the 40 minutes. Nevertheless, he was efficient in the FIBA Asia Championship (69% in the field) and, don’t forget he’s only 23 years, which is very young for a center.
