Career: Olimpija Ljubljana II (Slovenia-Division 1B, 2000-02), Triglav Kranj (Slovenia-Division 1A, 2002-04), Helios Domzale (Slovenia-Division 1A, 2004-06), Union Olimpija (Slovenia-Division 1A, 2006-07), MMT Estudiantes (2007-2008)

He comes from a famous basket family in his homeland. His dad, Radovan Lorbek, starred for Olimpija Ljubljana and is the commissioner of the Adriatic League. His older brother Erazem (also an exciting prospect) has been playing for Lottomatica Roma the past two seasons while his younger brother Klement is on the books at Hopsi Polzela (Slovenia) where he averaged 6.8 points this year. After earning his stripes in Slovenia, it was time for a change of scenery for Domen. Thanks to an impressive family three, Lorbek ended up in Spain at MMT Estudiantes where he averaged 7.8 points. At the EuroBasket last year, this shooting guard was very good in his first stint with the National Team, averaging 5.7 points and 1.9 assists. More mature, experienced and smart, his role will be even bigger at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
