Career: Dawson College (Canada-CIS, 2000-04), Sporting Al Riyadi (Lebanon-Division A, 2004-08).

Omar El Turk studied at Dawson College in Canada and has citizenship in Canada and Lebanon. And like his younger teammate, Ali Mahmoud, he joined Al Riyadi Beirut in 2004 and won three Lebanon league crowns. At first a defensive specialist, he has also become a good player on offence with his passing and scoring ability. This season, he averaged 8.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists. El Turk is the back-up of Ali Mahmoud at Al Riyadi, coming from the bench to provide a spark on defence. He has been a member of the Lebanon National Team since 2005 and will again compete for a spot this summer to be a back-up to Rony Fahed and Mahmoud.
