Career: North Harbour (New Zealand-NBL, 1999), Auckland Stars (New Zealand-NBL, 2000-07), Victoria Giants (Australia-NBL, 2002-03), NZ Breakers (Australia-NBL, 2003-06), BC Boncourt (Swtizerland-LNA, 2006-07), Wollongong Hawks (Australia-NBL, 2007-08), Wellington Saints (New Zealand-NBL, 2008)

Tait made his international debut against the Czech Republic in 2003 after several years as one of New Zealand's most promising players and is now establishing his game at the international level. He has dominated the NBL guard awards over recent seasons, and was voted league MVP and Kiwi MVP in 2005. Tait has been on four All-Star Fives and his increasing maturity at the point helped Auckland to the 2004 and 2005 titles. His 2006 season and FIBA World Championship hopes were curtailed by a broken wrist, but he came back in ’07 to share Outstanding Kiwi Guard honours and challenge for the league scoring title. Tait played for the NZ Breakers during their first three seasons in the Aussie league, but his year with the Wollongong Hawks last season was cut short by a shoulder injury.
