Career: Yonsei University (Korea, 2003-06), Seoul SK Knights (Korea-KBL, 2007-08).
He is the new sensation of the last Korea championship, and one that is expected as the leader of the next generation. Kim, who was first pick in the 2007 KBL draft justified his rank, finishing rookie of the year’08. He’s a quick and aggressive point guard with an excellent basketball IQ. He can score inside or outside (40% at three). This good passer (7.3, 2nd in KBL) knows how to arrange the court balance with run and gun or half court offence.
His main weaknesses are defence and overall physical play. With the U18 National Team, Kim played at the 2003 World championship, finishing second in assist of the tournament (5.9). After playing at the 2006 Asian Games, it will be his second experience with the senior team.
