Rony Fahed made his debut with the National Team in 1999 at the age of 18 and played at the 2002 FIBA World Championship in Indianapolis. He has been the starting point guard of Lebanon since 2005. He played an active role in Lebanon’s famous preliminary round win over France at the 2006 FIBA World Championship when he scored 13 points, handed out four assists and grabbed five rebounds. After five successful years with Blue Stars, he moved last summer to Sagesse Beirut where he averaged 17.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. He won silver medals at the last two FIBA Asia Championships. A solid playmaker, Fahed is a good three-point shooter.
