Robert Garrett may not look like the best athlete, but he can still score. A former German league scoring champion, Garrett remains determined to get to the basket and can hurt opponents with important three-pointers. He understands his role with the National Team is as a role player who can provide an offensive spark off the bench. He is not known for his defence but has done enough in that aspect of the game to play for coach Dirk Bauermann for three years at Bamberg. When Garrett is in the game, he will be asked to punish opponents for concentrating too much on stopping his good friend Dirk Nowitzki.
